💠Think About...
What's different about how you think about obstacles now compared to when we started this program?
What's one design tip you'd give to a new Super Mario course designer who is just starting?
How did feedback from your classmates help you improve your obstacle courses?
What part of being a course designer did you enjoy most - creating, testing, or improving your designs?
If you could design any kind of obstacle course next, what would it be and why?
🔨 Your Project
**Your Mission: Ultimate Super Mario Championship & Design Gallery**
Today you get to be a Super Mario design superstar! You'll show off all the amazing courses you've created and compete in one final championship challenge.
**Part 1: Set Up Your Design Gallery (15 minutes)**
- Gather all your course sketches and designs from our past lessons
- Arrange them on the gallery tables so everyone can see your best work
- Choose your favorite design to present to the class
- When it's your turn, stand by your design and share:
- What makes this course special?
- What power-ups did you include?
- How did you make it challenging but fair?
- What problem did you solve when designing it?
**Part 2: Ultimate Championship Course (20 minutes)**
- Team up with a partner for the final challenge course
- One partner navigates the obstacles while the other acts as a "game designer coach"
- Give your partner encouragement and strategy tips as they go through the course
- When they finish, switch roles and you try the course!
- At special power-up stations, show off the design skills you've learned
**Part 3: Celebrate Your Growth (5 minutes)**
- Write down one thing you learned about design and one thing you learned about yourself
- Share with the group if you want to!
- Receive your official Super Mario Course Designer certificate
**The Test:** You'll know you succeeded when you can explain how you've grown as a designer and feel proud of all the creative obstacle courses you've built throughout this program!
