Monster Game UI

💭 Think About...

1. What information do you look for when checking your monsters' stats in a game?
2. How do you prefer to navigate between different screens or menus in a game?
3. What makes a game menu easy or hard to use?
4. How could you organize a menu to fit lots of options without being overwhelming?
5. Why is it important to get feedback on your UI design from other people?

🔨 Your Project

  1. Look at the Monster Game UI Examples for inspiration. What elements do you notice?
  2. Sketch your main menu on the worksheet. Include the game title and 3-4 menu options. Label each element.
  3. Sketch your monster stats screen, showing 3-5 attributes. Organize the information clearly. Label each element.
  4. Add navigation buttons to each screen to show how they connect. Label where each button leads.
  5. Get feedback from a partner. What do they like about your design? What could be improved?
  6. Open the Monster Game UI Prototype document. Take photos or scans of your sketches to import them.
  7. Arrange your screens and add button hyperlinks to create a clickable prototype.
  8. Test out your prototype and make any final changes based on feedback. Be ready to share with the class!
